All About the Pro Tour Golf Learning Centre
Over a cup of coffee one morning, three leading golf industry figures, Ng Yap (MST GOLF), Stewart Ginn (two-time Malaysian Open winner) and Toney Maloney discussed the idea of developing a true Golf Learning Center for Malaysian golfers. After a few more coffee meetings, Pro Tour Golf Learning centre was established at the prestigious Glenmarie Golf and Country Club. With a 5-star hotel, 36-hole championship golf course, grass and covered hitting areas, and 4 greens to practice on, this venue was chosen as the ideal place to develop the Learning Centre. In addition to the teaching rooms, a custom-fitting room was built as part of the comprehensive Pro Tour Golf Learning Centre.

The facilities can be regarded as Asia's first high tech teaching facilities featuring an indoor teaching and swing analysis room with 3 hitting bays open up the fairway.
The teaching and swing analysis room is equipped with the latest high tech equipment including multiple camera, laser guided launch monitor, force plate and so on to study all aspects of swings, profiles and weight transfers.

The Learning Centre has highly experience teaching staff not just by Malaysian standards but by Asian standards as well, with over 140 years golfing experience between the five coaches staff are PGA Professionals with a vast knowledge of the game, theory and practical.
The Centre is headed by Australian PGA member Tony Maloney (AAA Member) who has vast knowledge of the Asian lifestyle thus giving him the advantage in developing comprehensive training programmes, from junior golfers to elite golf professionals.
Under his leadership and complementing the coaching team are three other highly respected Malaysian golf professionals, Zulkarnaini Abdullah, founding member of the MPGA (New) in 1989, K. Selaruas, former roommate to Vijay Singh and Rosdi Ramli who was part of the MGA national squad before turning professional. Also, to cater to the vast number os Japanese golfers, the centre also has Takashi Okuda, former touring pro from the Japan Golf Tour.
